The objective of the project is to procure access to a web-based solution that provides rural Ontario communities with economic development data, analysis and user training. Through access to this service, communities can make evidence-based decisions to address rural economic development barriers and make effective and efficient use of their economic development resources.
The solution will include industry and employment-related datasets as well as historical, current, and forecast (modelled) datasets. The solution will be accessible to Ontario Public Service (OPS) staff and Ministry of Rural Affairs clients, including rural municipalities and economic development practitioners, ensuring practical application for economic development planning and decision-making.
The anticipated contract start date is February 1, 2027.
