AI Contract Overview
The Regional Partnership Grant Program is designed to foster collaboration among child welfare agencies, substance abuse treatment providers, and juvenile or state courts to support family-centered treatment services for children at risk of or currently placed out-of-home due to caregiver substance abuse. The initiative aims to enhance evidence-based service delivery for families affected by substance use disorders through comprehensive, long-term treatment approaches, including medication-assisted treatment, in-home recovery services, early intervention, counseling, mental health supports, parenting skills training, and replication of proven models. The grant covers a single 60-month period divided into five annual budget cycles, encompassing a planning phase followed by an implementation phase. Participation requires forming regional partnerships with legislated collaborators, providing a cost-sharing match, and reporting on performance outcomes. Funding supports an array of family-based interventions designed to improve treatment access and outcomes for families impacted by substance use, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and recovery services tailored to the needs of children and caregivers.

Full Description
The Regional Partnership Grant (RPG) Program supports regional partnerships between child welfare, substance abuse treatment and juvenile or state courts. The goal is to support family-centered treatment programs and services for children who are in an out-of-home placement or are at risk of being placed in an out-of-home placement due to caregiver's substance abuse. Projects will also work to expand the scope of evidence-based services for families impacted by substance-use disorders.
Projects are required to have regional partnerships with legislatively required partners, including a planning and implementation phase, to provide a cost-sharing match, and report on performance indicators. RPG funds may support family-based, comprehensive, long-term substance-use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment and in-home substance-use disorder treatment and recovery services, as well as early intervention and prevention services, children and family counseling, mental health services, parenting skills training, and the replication of successful models for delivering family-based, comprehensive, long-term substance use disorder treatment services.
This project is for one 60-month project period, comprised of five 12-month budget periods. It includes a Planning Phase and an Implementation Phase.
