REMODEL OF KITCHEN & BATHROOMS AT FIRE STATION 3

The City of Hemet is soliciting bids for the remodel of the kitchen and bathrooms at Fire Station 3 in Hemet, California. The project consists of a Base Bid for a comprehensive kitchen remodel, including the demolition of existing elements and the installation of new flooring, cabinets, countertops, a kitchen island, a built-in gas range/oven, a vent hood, lighting, sinks, and faucets, while reusing existing refrigerators and dishwashers. Additionally, the City has included three Additive Alternate Bids for the remodel of three separate bathrooms, each requiring new tile, vanities, sinks, toilets, LED lighting, and other fixtures. The City reserves the right to award the Base Bid alone or in combination with any of the alternates based on available funding and pricing. Bids must be submitted electronically via PlanetBids by July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Award decisions will be made on a trade-off basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, evaluating factors such as technical capacity, resources, reputation, and past performance. Contractors must be licensed by the State of California, hold a City of Hemet business license, and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations. Compliance with California Labor Code prevailing wage rates, the Levine Act, and the submission of certified payroll records are mandatory. Required bid security is 10 percent of the base bid, with 100 percent performance and payment bonds required upon contract award.
