Repair Deer Fence (South Area)

The purpose of this project is to remove the existing deer fence and install an 8-foot high chain-link fence in place of the current one at Laughlin Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. The new fence will also include a section on the bottom 2-feet with a smaller fencing, which will continue into the ground to stop small animals from digging under the fence and accessing the airfield. Renew all existing signs. The gate will require the small animal resistance also. The project area are split into two, roughly parallel to the flight line. South Area of the project starts at Building 507 and stops before Gate G with an estimate of 6,820 linear feet. While the second area (northern part of base) starts inside the perimeter fence and stops before Gate J with an estimate of 1,565 linear feet. The acquisition will be set aside Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The NAICS code for the acquisition is 238990 and the applicable small business standard size is $16.5M.
