Repair of Two Reflecting Ponds.

N6520108003 - The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform work described as follows: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and experience necessary to repair two reflection ponds. The north pond holds - 1.5 million gallons of water; the south - 1.3 million gallons of water. They vary in depth from 18" at the edges to 40" - 48" at the drain locations. The concrete floors have deteriorated including spalling concrete and loss of caulk at expansion joints. Each pond contains an overflow drain made of corrugated steel approximately 42" dia. X 84" deep with a valve at the bottom that requires a person to crawl to the bottom to operate. This needs replacing with one outside of the pipe. Perforated overflow drains from rust below the water line require replacement. A negotiated Firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offer's technical capability, past performance, and price to determine the Lowest priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer to the Government.
