The Department of Defense plans to issue a solicitation around June 25, 2026, for the repair and replacement of Mass Parking Apron Section V at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. This solicitation will be a total small business set-aside under the NAICS code 237310 and will remain open for 30 days. The project will be carried out using a design-bid-build delivery method over multiple years, involving the removal and replacement of the entire Mass Parking Apron in several sections. One major objective is to standardize the width of the apron to 340 feet south of the centerline taxiway, correcting an existing discrepancy where the eastern half is 5 feet narrower than the western half. The work will also include creating a new temporary asphalt cement concrete transition between new and existing pavement sections, limited grading of adjacent turf areas to improve drainage, and removal and stockpiling of existing asphalt shoulders for future use. The estimated construction cost ranges between $25 million and $35 million. The solicitation is managed by the W071 Endist Omaha office, located in Omaha, Nebraska. Interested parties can contact Shayna Zeleznik for more information. The project emphasizes improving the uniformity and functionality of the parking apron while addressing drainage and pavement transitions to ensure a durable, long-term solution.

On or about 25 June 2026, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for Repair/Replace Mass Parking Apron Section V at Minot Air Force Base, Minot, North Dakota. The solicitation will close after 30 days. The solicitation is restricted to Small Businesses. Project Description: This project will be executed using a design-bid-build project delivery method. The entire Mass Parking Apron will be removed and replaced in multiple sections over the course of several years. The existing MPA was originally constructed under two separate contracts. For unknown reasons, the first constructed eastern half is 5 feet narrower than the western half south of the MPA centerline taxiway (335 ft vs. 340ft). This project will establish a uniform MPA width of 340 ft south of the MPA centerline taxiway. Due to slight changes in finished top of pavement grades between the new MPA Section(s) pavement and the existing MPA pavement to remain, a new temporary ACC transition will be required to connect new MPA Section(s) PCC pavement to existing MPA PCC pavement. Limited grading of turf areas adjacent to new ACC shoulder pavement to improve surface drainage away from paved shoulder edges (Provide 1-1/2 inch drop-off at edge per UFC 3-260-01, Chapter 6). Existing asphalt shoulders required to be removed will be milled by the Contractor and stockpiled for Minot AFB use at a later date at the location shown on the drawings. Estimated Construction Costs: The estimated construction cost of this project is between $25,000,000 and $35,000000.
