8 June 2021 - Responses to questions are below: Also a new SOW is posted. 1. As roofs are older, mfgr is unknown and colors are faded, exact touch up paint from the manufacturer may not be available. Please confirm that only the bare metal where cable rubbed the standing seams are to receive touch up paint and that readily available products applied by brush or spray can are acceptable. Clarified in new SOW. Damage from the existing fall protection will be repaired. This is anticipated to be primarily finish damage, however is not known to be exclusively finish damage. Surfaces should be prepared in accordance with paint manufacturer's instructions. Paint should be applied in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Paint type/quality should be roughly equivalent to the finishing used by the roof panel manufacturer. 2. The distress summary in the solicitation mentions various roof conditions such as damaged ridge caps, backed out fasteners, vegetation on pavers, etc. Is it the intent that the work included under this solicitation only pertain to the fall protection system, that is only to inspect, repair, replace, and certify the existing system and touch up paint? Distress summary was deemed to cause more confusion than benefit and has been removed. Similar to question 1 response, the extents of the roof repair includes that damage that was caused by the existing fall arrest systems. 3. Will the government accept replacement of systems specifically on the roofs with greater than 3:12 pitch? This applies to buildings 3127 and 1171. SOW has been modified to include replacement of systems on B1171 and B3127. 4. FAR 52-228-1 is incorporated by reference, however the amount/percentage of the bid guarantee was not found. Please advise bid bond amount. The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20 percent of the bid price or $3M whichever is less ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 June 2021 - Bids are now due 11 June 2021 - Response to questions will be posted when availible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20 May 2021 - Bids are now due 4 June 2021 - Response to questions will be posted when availible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17 May 2021 - Bids are now due 24 May 2021 - Response to Questions will be posted when availible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 May 2021 - Posted Amendment: Bids are now due 17 May 2021 at 2:00 PM Alaskan -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 28 April 2021 : Posted Amendment on Bid Guarantee amounts ------------------------------------------------------------------ See Attached SOW/1442 and Wage Deterimination
