Repair T4 Hush House Engine Control Kit

The 14th Contracting Squadron, 495 Harpe Blvd, Suite 256C, Columbus AFB, MS 39710 intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source Purchase Order to Atec Incorporated. The purpose of the order is to obtain repair of a T-4 Hush House on base. This purchase is for a commercial items and will be made using FAR 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures at FAR 13. Other than full and open competition is authorized pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b). The determination is to solicit from a single source, Atec Inc. It was discovered that Atec Inc. is currently a part of an AETC effort to standardize all five of its test cells to achieve its goal of configuration control. These standardized test cells are planned to utilize Atec Inc throttles only. Therefore, soliciting and awarding to any other provider would add undue cost to the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested contractors may submit a narrative describing their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort via e-mail to Eric Gonzalez, Contract Specialist, eric.gonzalez@columbus.af.mil no later than 11:00 AM CST on Sep 27, 2012. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
