Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm-fixed price Delivery Order to ELBITAMERICA, INC. under the existing Basic Ordering Agreement for the repair of the Integrated Avionics Processor (IAP) used in the V-22 Aircraft. This procurement will support retrofit and production repairs, with ELBITAMERICA acting as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), thus making the company the sole source capable of performing these repairs. The Government does not have the necessary data or capability to complete the repairs, and ELBITAMERICA’s unique access to technical information and expertise is essential to fulfill the required work within the specified timeframe. The award will be made on a sole source basis under the authority permitting other than full and open competition, specifically citing 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR Part 6.103-1, which recognizes that only one responsible source exists for these services. Though this is not a competitive solicitation, interested parties may submit capability statements within fifteen days of the notice’s publication for the Government to consider if it chooses to conduct a competitive procurement. The place of performance is in Texas at ELBITAMERICA’s facility, and additional subcontracting opportunities may be explored by contacting the designated company representative. The contracting office is located in Patuxent River, Maryland, with points of contact available for further inquiries.
