REPAIRS OF P-8A ENGINE INDUCTED AT CONTRACTOR FACILITY On 17 June 2020 the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded order modification N0001920F0474P00002 under P-8A Engine Depot Maintenance and Repair Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) N0001918D0110 to Standard Aero Inc., San Antonio, TX, under an exception to the fair opportunity process. In accordance with FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), the modification was issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract. The Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity is attached to this Notice. The two IDIQ MAC contractors are Standard Aero [Contract N0001918D0110] and Boeing [Contract N0001918D0113]. Pursuant to and in accordance with each contract, NAVAIR conducted a competition between the two IDIQ contractors for Option Period 2 (FY2020 ordering period). As to Period 2 engine inductions, Boeing was selected as the Primary Awardee and Standard Aero was selected as the Secondary Awardee. The contract states that the Period 2 minimum guaranteed engine induction quantity is 1 for the Secondary Awardee. Standard Aero's Order N0001920F0474 fulfills that minimum guarantee quantity requirement. This modification procures repairs to the engine for discrepancies discovered during the induction process at Standard Aero's facility. The total dollar value of the awarded modification is $640,291.08 with performance to be completed on or before 30 September 2020. This notice is provided for information only.
