THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace HVAC Piping/Vaults to Buildings at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Florence. FCI Florence is located at 5880 HWY 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The work included within this project is known as "Chilled/Heating UG Piping Replacement." The contractor shall design, furnish and install all equipment, materials, labor, licenses and related components and systems and re-connection and reuse of existing components and systems as required to provide a complete and properly operating system. Work efforts shall include replacement of heating water supply and return and chilled water supply and return from each vault in the yard into each building. The performance period for the project will be 145 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 237110 with a corresponding small business size standard of $36.5 million. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project.
