REPLACE PLASTIC ENCLOSURE FOR PLANT GROWTH CHAMBERS

This is special notice, The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, intends made an award on a sole source basis to Precision Plastics, Inc., 6405-A Ammendale Road, Beltsville, MD for the removal, replacement and installation of the six existing Acrylic/Plexiglas Environmental Growth Chambers (EGC) Growth Chambers Enclosures Day-Lit Plant Growth Chamber Type (EGC) 48, 48, 96 Growth Chambers. Enclosures are manufactured by Environmental Growth Chambers (EGC), Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022-0390, Precision Plastics, Inc is the authorized supplier and installer for the Maryland Region and is the original Regional Supplier and Installers of the existing Environmental Growth Chambers (EGC) Growth Chambers. Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as contemplated by FAR 6.302-1 (a), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed above are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
