Explored Engineered design replacement. Cost of such will be equal to or greater than cost of going through contractor who quoted shops to do the work. They have pre-engineered systems which they will install and program. Plan is to make all gates the same, since they are all different currently, and with a PLC that is easily obtainable. Quotes from contractor in folder for reference. RRM 02.12.2025 - Need to develop clear path forward, simpler system would be better, funding...Bring back to meeting when developed. Current main gate arms have PLC's which are at end of life and replacements are no longer manufactured. There are 7 lanes in total between gates 1, 3, and Cheatham. Shops have been working this issue, proactively, after they weren't able to order any replacements when they utilized the last PLC they had on hand. There are quotes in the folder to include upgrades/repairs to the hydraulic portion of the gate arms as well as electrical/PLC replacement and programming. Shops can order parts and perform work on the hydraulic portion with WOs and are handling those as such. The current quote for the PLC replacement includes installation and programming of an Allen Bradley PLC which is not likely to become unsupported as the current ones are.
