NASA/NSSC is seeking the replacement of induction heating system inverter power modules to be performed at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The current contract, valued at 80,534.50 dollars, is held by Inductoheat, Inc. under a firm fixed price arrangement. Due to the specialized nature of the equipment, NASA intends to award a sole source contract to Inductoheat, Inc. under FAR 12.102(a), as they have been identified as the sole provider for these specific modules. The procurement falls under NAICS code 335999 for commercial items. While the government intends to proceed without competition, interested organizations may submit capability statements to the primary point of contact, Cody Guidry, by September 3, 2026. These submissions will be used exclusively to determine if the procurement should be shifted to a competitive basis. The current contract is expected to end on November 23, 2026, and is flagged as a likely recompete opportunity.
