The U.S. Postal Service is seeking information from industry providers capable of delivering maintenance services for battery-powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and platform lifts, excluding internal combustion engine vehicles. The requirement encompasses fleet management, as well as corrective and preventive maintenance and repair services across various levels—national, regional, state, or postal district areas. Services may require on-site dedicated support for several hours weekly and transportation of equipment for off-site repairs. This effort aims to identify and establish a list of pre-qualified contractors able to meet USPS needs in mail processing plants, including Processing and Distribution Centers and National Distribution Centers. Although national capability is preferred, the USPS is open to awards tailored to narrower geographic areas such as postal regions, districts, or single states to ensure coverage. Respondents are provided with detailed USPS area and district information to guide submissions. Interested parties must submit a capability statement by May 15, 2015, to be considered for inclusion. The solicitation is categorized under NAICS codes for Industrial Equipment and Machinery Repair and Maintenance Services (811310) and Industrial Truck Rental or Leasing (532490), with the primary place of performance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Contact information for contracting officers is provided to facilitate communication.
