The Department of Defense’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) in Charleston is soliciting information through a Request for Information (RFI) regarding hand-held lights specifically designed for law enforcement applications. This initiative supports the Department of Homeland Security’s System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to provide emergency responders with comparative assessments of relevant equipment. The RFI seeks detailed information including company details, product descriptions, technical specifications related to reliability and durability, safety data, and cost information such as pricing and warranty options. Vendors are instructed to submit non-proprietary information electronically or by mail by December 28, 2007, the revised submission deadline. This RFI is solely for information gathering and does not constitute a solicitation or an offer to award a contract. The information collected will assist in planning future equipment assessments and may be published by the SAVER Program; therefore, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Vendors may be contacted later for additional details, but unsolicited follow-up through the posting agency is discouraged. Responses should not include the actual product but detailed written data to aid in evaluation. Non-technical inquiries about the process can be directed to the designated Contract Specialist via email.

Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents.
