The Department of the Air Force is seeking industry input through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify capable vendors for an Intelligent Shift Scheduler Tool designed to modernize 24/7 operational scheduling currently managed through manual Excel-based systems. The objective is to deploy a secure, automated solution that enforces mandated rest periods, integrates fatigue alerts, and incorporates duty limiting conditions directly into scheduling logic while optimizing personnel assignments based on qualifications and availability. The system must dynamically handle leave requests, last-minute absences, comp time allocation, and provide qualified replacement recommendations through automated workflows, while offering leadership manual override capabilities and notifications via AFNet email or internal dashboards. The solution must be fully compatible with Air Force network standards, operating exclusively on AFNet (NIPRNet) with CAC/PKI authentication, handling Controlled Unclassified Information without storing Protected Health Information, and integrating data from MilPDS and the A1 Data Landing Zone. The technology must align with the A1 Multi-Cloud Ecosystem and be built using approved platforms such as Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, ServiceNow, OutSystems, or AWS GovCloud with supported development frameworks. Respondents are required to submit no more than 15 pages in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format via email to Derrick Manning and Corey Collins by 5:00 PM EST on June 19, 2026, with the subject line formatted as “Response to AF-A1-RFI-SKED-APP-2026 - [Your Company Name]”. Each submission must include company name, address, point of contact, CAGE Code, DUNS Number, business size, socio-economic classifications, and recommended NAICS and PSC codes, with the anticipated NAICS code being 541512 for Computer Systems Design. While this RFI is strictly for market research and does not constitute a procurement commitment or establish evaluation criteria, vendors are encouraged to provide Rough Order of Magnitude pricing estimates for both a single installation pilot and enterprise-scale deployment. The place of performance is Washington, D.C., 20330, and all responses must demonstrate the ability to deliver a sustainable solution with dedicated technical support for unit schedulers. The RFI was posted on May 28, 2026, and all inquiries must be submitted no later than the same deadline as responses.

Burden Sharing SAF/IA
Solicitation # FA701426Q0048
The Department of the Air Force is seeking a total small business set-aside under NAICS 512110 to provide professional digital media services for the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs. The objective is to produce a high-quality training and communication video, with a maximum runtime of 150 seconds, that explains the Burden Sharing initiative. The video will utilize 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, and narration to illustrate how cooperation with allies and partners enhances collective security and strategic flexibility, specifically featuring the F-35A and other operational defense assets. The resulting contract will be a single firm-fixed-price award with a period of performance from September 23, 2026, to December 23, 2026. The procurement follows a phased, best-value tradeoff evaluation process. Offerors must pass three mandatory gates: a 3D model demonstration of the F-35A, a supporting storyboard, and a 10-15 second micro-video sample. Technical merit, specifically cinematic effect and audience engagement, is weighted as significantly more important than price. Key deliverables include a project management plan and production schedule due within 10 days of award, a creative treatment, and the final edited video. All work must be performed within the United States, and submissions must be handled through the PIEE Solicitation module. Invoicing and payments will be processed electronically via the Wide Area WorkFlow system.
