The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane is seeking to procure one Flash X-Ray machine and one Short Pulse Gamma irradiator, including associated maintenance support. This requirement falls under NAICS code 334517 and is being pursued as a sole source procurement with L3 Applied Technologies. The government has determined that L3 Applied Technologies is the only source capable of manufacturing this highly specialized radiation test equipment, and utilizing another vendor would lead to unacceptable delays and substantial duplication of costs. The procurement process is governed by FAR 6.302-1, though the agency allows responsible sources to submit capability statements for consideration. Delivery terms are set as F.O.B. Destination. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management and the Joint Certification Program to be eligible. All inquiries regarding this solicitation are directed to Jordan Arford at the NSWC Crane facility in Indiana.
