Sources Sought for PR FD2060-20-00090 NSN 5895-01-443-2092SO (Request for Interested Manufacturers) FROM: Chris Boarman/411 SCMS/GULAB TO: DLA Aviation Procurement Operations at Warner Robins (SPRWA1) LOCATION: Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 FBO Post Title: Request for Interested Manufacturers for the purchase of the Communication Control Unit (CCU) used on board the HH-60G Helicopter with NSN 5895-01-443-2092SO SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of the HH-60G Communication Control Unit (CCU), NSN 5895-01-443-2092SO, Part Number 499-4800-005 ITEM DESCRIPTION The HH-60G Communication Control Unit (CCU), NSN 5895-01-443- 2092SO, P/N 499-4800-005, is used in the Intercommunication System (ICS) on board the HH-60G Pave Hawk Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) helicopter. The ICS provides communication among the stations of the helicopter as well as radio transmission and reception. The CCU helps minimize the crew's workload by providing a centralized control of the ICS to provide interior communication capability between crew members and with the troop commander's position. It also allows the pilot and copilot to select and control associated radio equipment for voice transmission and reception. The basic CCU controls five radios and interphone communication onboard the HH-60G Pave Hawk CSAR helicopter. The CCU is intended for use in military aircraft operations and it must meet the original Form, Fit and Function to be certified for the use on the HH-60G SOF/PR aircraft. The requirement is unique to military applications and cannot be acquired in the commercial market, nor does there exist any items to be modified to suit the requirement. Impediment to Competition: The Government does not own or have access to the data for this item. Telephonics Corporation, CAGE Code 78711 is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this asset. The data for this asset is proprietary to Telephonics Corporation. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to Telephonics Corporation, CAGE Code 78711 for the manufacture of the Communication Control Unit in support of the HH-60G helicopter program. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 22 May 2019 to Chris Boarman at chris.boarman.1@us.af.mil and/or Charles T. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
