What type of outlet connection or pipe do we provide coming from the reverse osmosis system and where do we terminate? -As discussed, the vendor is to provide recommendation of the piping type and size and connections. 5.Obtaining something called "Rapid-Gate" to ease and enable base access was discussed. Can you describe how we apply for this, or provide a link for us to access? - See attachment 6.In the interest of providing a truly competitive offering, will the government consider a non-manufacturer waiver for the reverse osmosis system and accessory equipment? -No, this type of work did not have a waiver from the Small Businesses Administration, hence it cannot be waived. 7.Can you clarify the requirement for "Post-treatment Chemical Injection"? What is the purpose of the chemical injection? Is there a specification for dosing equipment? Is chemical supply part of the solicitation? - To allow for flushing or sanitation of the lines. At this time, chlorination of the water is not planned so the lines will need to be treated at times. 8.Will a distribution pump be required as part of the solicitation? What is the distribution loop design flow-rate and pipe size? -Size, pump, and piping base for the three story Vivarium. The company will need to design (tell us) the requirements. 9.Will you issue a scope of services for Maintenance option? At a minimum, will you specify a desired frequency of maintenance visits? -Once again, we are basing maintenance on the expertise of the company awarded the contract and what they recommend for their equipment.
