Rexford Industrial Project

The Rexford Industrial Project, managed by the City of Norwalk, involves the redevelopment of a 7.03-acre site located at 14830 Carmenita Road in Norwalk, California. The scope of work includes the demolition of two existing multi-tenant industrial warehouse buildings totaling 89,870 square feet and the construction of a new 138,972 square foot industrial warehouse. This new facility will feature 132,227 square feet of warehouse space, 3,715 square feet of ground floor office space, and 3,030 square feet of mezzanine space, complemented by a parking lot with six ADA spaces, ornamental landscaping, and associated infrastructure. The project has undergone extensive environmental review in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, resulting in a Mitigated Negative Declaration. Key technical assessments have been completed, including a noise impact analysis for 24/7 operations, a health risk assessment, and a paleontological and cultural resources study. Stormwater management is governed by a Preliminary Low Impact Development Plan adhering to Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board Order No. R4-2012-0175, which requires specific weekly and annual maintenance inspections. Additionally, the project includes the installation of five-foot-wide sidewalks to ensure ADA pedestrian access from Excelsior Drive to the main building entrance.
