Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is soliciting proposals for an Agency Specific Term Contract to obtain transitional financial consulting services. The primary objective is to backfill the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Financial Officer of Budget to maintain fiscal integrity, protect the budget, and support staff. Key deliverables include technical support for the FY 2027–28 budget development, operational management of allotments and leveling, and professional guidance on governmental accounting and internal controls. Personnel assigned to these roles must hold applicable certifications, specifically including Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certificates. The contract structure includes an initial four-month period from November 2026 through February 2027, with an optional five-month extension through July 2027, based on a 220-hour monthly allowance. Awards will be determined based on best value through a narrative and consensus evaluation process.
