The Arizona Board of Regents, acting on behalf of Arizona State University, has issued RFI 252701 to explore market capabilities and operational models for its Ditch the Dumpster program, a year-round initiative focused on diverting waste from landfills through donation, reuse, and recycling efforts for on-campus students. The RFI seeks input from suppliers on a range of aspects including collection methods, staffing approaches, safety protocols, reporting systems, donation diversion strategies, and opportunities for community engagement and sustainability impact. Responses are encouraged from vendors capable of supporting any portion of the program, whether specific material streams, individual campus locations, multiple sites, or the full scope, with no requirement to address all components. The initiative emphasizes student involvement, visibility, and alignment with ASU’s broader environmental goals. Submissions are due by 2:00 PM MST on July 27, 2026, with inquiries accepted until July 22, 2026, at the same time. An optional Information Session will be held via Zoom on July 17, 2026, at 10:30 AM MST to provide further context and answer questions. Alvaro Marcelino Hernandez is the designated point of contact for all communications, reachable at amarcel8@asu.edu. This RFI is not a solicitation for bids or proposals but rather a gathering of market intelligence to inform future procurement decisions. The response window opens on July 13, 2026, and all submissions must be made through the designated vendor portal.
