Coatings & Surface Treatments for Optical and Metal ComponentsThe contract seeks specialized coating services for optical and metal components, focusing on the application of anti-reflective, hydrophobic, and scratch-resistant treatments to lenses, as well as anodizing or ceramic coatings on metal parts to enhance corrosion resistance and reduce detectability. These surface treatments are critical for performance in demanding environments, particularly where optical clarity and low observability are required. The solicitation is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under SBA guidelines, ensuring eligibility is restricted to small businesses as defined by the Small Business Administration. The NAICS code 332811 confirms the scope falls under Optical Lens and Photographic Equipment Manufacturing, aligning with precision surface modification services. The contract was posted on July 2, 2026, with a firm deadline for responses on July 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. It is structured as a subcontract under the Department of Defense, specifically managed by the W6QK Acc-DTA office. While no specific performance location, point of contact, or detailed address information is provided, the nature of the work suggests requirements tied to defense-related optical and mechanical systems. Interested parties must comply with SBA small business size standards and provide technical and logistical capabilities to meet the stringent performance specifications for coatings that must consistently deliver durability, clarity, and stealth characteristics under operational conditions.
