RFP 26-69-1514 Transportation Engineering and Design Services As-Needed

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is soliciting proposals for RFP 26-69-1514 to establish non-exclusive Master Agreements with multiple qualified firms for as-needed transportation engineering and design services. The scope of work supports capital improvement projects throughout Forsyth County, Georgia, and encompasses a wide range of disciplines including roadway and intersection design, traffic engineering, structural design, survey services, environmental services, and geotechnical studies. Deliverables may include construction plans, signing and marking plans, and digital files compatible with Bentley OpenRoads. All work must adhere to strict standards, including GDOT design, drainage, and bridge manuals, as well as MUTCD and local county requirements. To qualify, prime consultants must be currently prequalified by the Georgia Department of Transportation in Area Class 3.02 (Two-Lane or Multi-Lane Urban Roadway Design) and Area Class 3.13 (Facilities for Bicycles and Pedestrians). Proposals are evaluated through a two-step process: an initial pass/fail review of minimum qualifications followed by a scored evaluation by a committee. While the Master Agreement establishes the relationship, individual task orders will be negotiated separately based on specific project needs, staffing, and expertise. Pricing is determined by a submitted fee schedule of maximum hourly billing rates for various professional roles.
