The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is soliciting proposals for a prequalified maintenance contractor to perform concrete pavement and curb and gutter repair on the westbound M-59 exit ramp at Squirrel Road in Oakland County. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing concrete and the installation of full-depth Portland Cement Concrete pavement and curb and gutter, as well as providing traffic control, pavement markings, and surface texturing. All work must comply with the 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction. The contract is effective from September 15, 2026, to November 30, 2026, with a requirement that work be completed under continuous operations within 14 consecutive calendar days between 7:00 a.m. and dusk. Award will be granted to the responsive and responsible bidder who passes all evaluation criteria and offers the lowest price. Mandatory requirements include contractor prequalification, Michigan LEO registration, and the provision of performance and lien bonds totaling 100% of the contract price. The contractor must adhere to Oakland County prevailing wage rates and maintain insurance with an A.M. Best rating of A- or better. Proposals must be submitted via SIGMA VSS by September 8, 2026, and include a detailed pricing schedule for items such as concrete repair, aggregate base, and thermoplastic markings. Final acceptance of the work is determined by the MDOT Program Manager following a 30-day state review period.
