RFP Anaheim West Tower - EOC Window Improvement

INTRO The City of Anaheim's EOC is located at the Anaheim West Tower at 201 S. Anaheim Boulevard. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) FEMA Grant Program is intended to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure, strategically located, and fully interoperable EOCs with a focus on addressing identified deficiencies and needs. Fully capable emergency operations facilities at the state and local levels are an essential element of a comprehensive national emergency management system and are necessary to ensure continuity of operations and continuity of government in major disasters or emergencies caused by any hazard. FURNITURE RE-LOCATION Contractor shall be required to move and place back all applicable items required to perform the Work. This includes cubicle walls, cabinets, desks, and any other items arising out of the relocation. Computer equipment shall be relocated by the City. Following completion of the work, Contractor shall move all items back to their original location in the same condition. The City shall provide a laydown space within the building for all City owned items. MATERIAL LAYDOWN City shall provide a limited laydown space. Contractor is required to protect in place all laydown areas. Contractor shall be required to protect all paths of travel while performing work, including but not limited to protective flooring and covering walls. RESTORATION & REPAIR Contractor shall be required to repair and restore all impacted surfaces. All repair and restoration shall match the existing building finish. This includes replacing damaged carpet tiles and cove base. Contractor shall relocate Impacted electrical receptacles as directed by City. All holes must be patched and paint matched. SITE ACCESS Contractor shall be required to sign-in with security every day work is performed. ADD ALTERNATE ITEM #01 The intent of this bid item is for Contractor to surround all steel plates with drywall and paint finish. FEMA FUNDING AND REQUIREMENTS The consultant shall meet all FEMA federally funding requirements listed below. The chosen consultant shall also ensure their bidding documents will require the contractors meet all FEMA req federally funding requirements.
