Clare Public Schools has issued a Request for Proposal for a turnkey replacement of the synthetic turf field at the Brookwood Athletic Complex in Clare, Michigan. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing turf, performing third-party infiltration testing to ensure drainage of at least 10 inches of water per hour, and the installation of a new synthetic turf system with specific football and soccer markings, a 1200 square foot center field logo, and end zone lettering. The project is scheduled to begin around June 1, 2027, and must be completed with final inspection and occupancy by July 28, 2027. The district will award the contract to the most competitive bidder who demonstrates the ability to provide a safe, high-quality, and long-lasting system. Bidders must hold STC 2026 and ASBA Certified Field Builder certifications and provide a minimum 8-year third-party warranty for installation and a product warranty of 25 years or more. Insurance requirements are stringent, requiring an AM Best rating of A++ or better with an annual aggregate of at least 10 million dollars and a per incident limit of 5 million dollars.
