RFP Custodial Services

The Murray County School System is soliciting proposals for comprehensive custodial services across its various schools and facilities in Georgia. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, training, cleaning personnel, equipment, and supplies. The scope of work includes general cleaning to high educational standards, the provision of consumables such as paper products and disinfectants, minor facility maintenance, and specialized services including athletic facility cleaning and mid-year floor scrubbing and re-waxing. The contract term is for 12 months, with the school system retaining the option to extend for up to four additional one-year terms. Proposals are due by October 14, 2026, and must be submitted in a specific five-tab format including a business proposal, E-Verify affidavit, and financial statements. Evaluation is based on the most advantageous proposal, considering the vendor's record of performance, key personnel qualifications, and cost. Key requirements include providing an 8-hour custodian at each location during district operations and submitting weekly inspection reports to the Director of Facilities every Friday. Vendors must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least 1,000,000 dollars per person and comply with OSHA, AHERA, SCDHEC, and EPA regulations. Payment for services is made on a monthly basis, and the school system is exempt from state sales and federal excise taxes.
