GENERAL CONTRACT (All Trades Work) forPart A. EXPANSION & RENOVATION OF INKSTER DPS BUILDING Inkster Department of Public Services Part B. DEMOLITION – THREE (3) DPS BUILDINGS Inkster Department of Public ServicesThe City of Inkster Department of Public Services will accept sealed proposals for a General Contractor - Contract for All Trades Work for both project parts A and B located at 26900 Princeton Street, Inkster, Michigan 48141. Bids are to be received by the City of Inkster, at the Office of the City Clerk, until 2 P.M., local time, on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Proposals received after that time will not be accepted. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time, on Monday, April 1st, 2024, at the Inkster City Hall, located at 26215 Trowbridge St, Inkster, MI 48141. The conference will begin at the City Hall and end with a visit to the project site located at 26900 Princeton Street, Inkster, MI 48141.Bid Documents and associated addenda will be available on the Internet through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN – www.MITN.info) where they can be viewed electronically. Distribution of the Bid Documents through any means of delivery should be coordinated by the Bidder at their own cost. The date that the bidding documents are transmitted from MITN will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available. Each proposal must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security in the form of a certified check or standard form bid bond, made payable to the City of Inkster in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid submitted. Failure of any accepted Bidder to enter into contract for the work will cause forfeit of this bid security. After contracts for the work have been signed, all bid securities will be returned. 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required on the project. Costs of bonds, if so required, shall be included in the Base Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity or informality in bids, to reject any and/or all bids, in whole or in part, or to award any Contract to other than the low bidder, should it be deemed in his best interest to do so.
