PIERCE TRANSIT is a municipal corporation with administrative offices located at 3701 96th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499-443. Pierce Transit is requesting proposals from firms qualified and interested in providing in-person standardized cognitive and functional assessments and training with regard to bus travel skills on an as-needed basis and at the request of Pierce Transit to provide recommendations, reports and findings to Pierce Transit’s ADA staff for determinations of Paratransit services eligibility. Contractor shall collaborate with Pierce Transit in developing testing materials and assess bus travel abilities in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and with Pierce Transit Criteria. The contractor must be able to perform the following standardized models of evaluation: Functional Assessment of Cognitive Travel Skills (FACTS) test, and Cognitive Assessment of Travel Skills (CATS). Assessments, testing and other travel training activities will take place at various locations within the Pierce Transit service area, as needed. Contractor shall also be required to, but not limited to, provide reports, weekly evaluations, manage assessment scheduling, serve as back-up for travel training, follow fixed bus route trips and provide mobility device assessments back-up as needed. Other evaluation methods may include but are not limited to interviews and review of documentation.
