This contract involves the upgrade and integration of SCADA and PLC systems across four treatment plants, including water treatment and water reclamation facilities, as well as remote sites. Each plant will receive three new servers and five to seven workstations, alongside four to seven PLCs per plant plus additional PLCs for seven remote locations. The major PLC controllers to be integrated are likely Rockwell ControlLogic models (1756-L81E or 1756-L905TS), while remote site PLC cabinets will be replaced with Allen Bradley CompactLogix controllers. Nine new HMI units, probably PanelView Plus 7 Performance touchscreens, will be installed at two of the plants. The primary hardware and SCADA licenses are procured separately by ACC, with updates to some graphics anticipated though most existing visuals are reusable. The project is overseen by the Public Utilities department of Georgia, with work primarily located within the state. The upgrade sequence prioritizes the water treatment plant and remote sites before progressing to the three water reclamation facilities. The solicitation was posted in May 2026, with responses due by early June 2026. Key contacts include an Assistant Director of Engineering and a Senior Buyer, who manage the procurement process and can be reached for further information. This initiative represents a comprehensive modernization effort to enhance control and monitoring capabilities across regional water treatment infrastructure.
