AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Department of Agriculture through the MRP APHIS MRPBS AAMD office is seeking a single hard-sided truck camper designed to fit securely into the 8-foot bed of a Ford F250 pickup truck, commonly referred to as a slide-in or cab-over camper. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified procedures for commercial items as prescribed by the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul Part 12, with a firm fixed price contract valued at $30,000. The procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336214, meaning only small business concerns eligible under this classification may respond. The camper must include electric and propane heating and air conditioning controlled by a thermostat, automatic retractable leg-jacks, a one-year manufacturer warranty, and operation, maintenance, storage, and cleaning manuals provided in both hard copy and PDF format. On-site training at the time of delivery is required, and the unit must be delivered within 30 days of award to the USDA National Wildlife Research Center at 4101 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado, during business hours on weekdays and positioned in the first parking lot inside the facility’s security post. The presolicitation was posted on SAM.gov on June 24, 2026, with the solicitation expected to issue and responses due on July 3, 2026, and award targeted for July 4, 2026. All offerors must be registered in SAM.gov and submit their quotations via email to the designated contracting officer. Evaluation will be based on compliance with technical specifications, past performance, and pricing, with the best value determination made through a trade-off process—price will only be the deciding factor if all other aspects are equal. Invoices must be submitted through IPP.GOV in accordance with FAR clause 52.212-4(g). The contracting officer, Mario Garcia, is the sole point of contact for inquiries, and while no COR or COTR is designated, a facility manager at the delivery site will coordinate physical reception. No MIL-STDs or specific packaging, preservation, or marking standards are required beyond the functional and delivery conditions outlined; no options, extensions, or multi-year provisions are included, and no security clearances or subcontracting plans are mandated. The Statement of Work will be provided to define precise dimensional and operational requirements, and no pop-up or expandable models are acceptable.
