RFQ No. 2027PW48, VSS Demo & Parking Lot Expansion Project

Scope: The District is seeking a general contractor (“Contractors”) with significant experience with the Division of the State Architect (“DSA”) related to their regulatory oversight, plan approvals, and inspection of educational facilities concerning design bid build construction for the “VSS Demo & Parking Lot Expansion Project’ located at 5885 Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737. The work to be performed, is to include complete demolition and removal of the existing two-story VSS Building at the Rancho Cucamonga campus. This includes the building structure, foundations, slabs, utilities, and related site improvements within the demolition limits in its entirety. After demolition, the site shall be cleared, rough graded/ over-excavated, and prepared for a new surface parking lot extension to VSS Parking Lot 23. Work includes paving, striping, curbs & gutters, accessible parking and pathways, drainage, lighting, site flatwork, and landscaping. The Contractor shall protect existing ADA improvements from the recent campus-wide ADA Path of Travel Projects, Phases 1 and 2, and repair any damage caused by construction. Coordination shall be expected by the Contractor to meet with District Staff to ensure any and all items to be protected and/or salvaged and returned to District are not impacted by construction efforts. The Contractor shall provide including but not limited to all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, hauling, disposal, protection, coordination, Hazmat and clearance and related work needed to complete the project in accordance with the Contract Documents, applicable codes, campus standards, and Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements.  The cost of the Project is estimated at $ 2,000,000
