Simon Fraser University (SFU) is inviting qualified civil consulting firms to submit their qualifications through a Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) process aimed at establishing a prequalified list of civil consultants. These consultants will be engaged on an as-needed basis to provide design, construction phase, and pre-design services for civil projects across SFU’s Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver campuses. Projects covered by this engagement include capital works, alterations, upgrades, repairs, feasibility studies, and condition assessments with construction costs estimated up to $3 million and pre-design fees up to $300,000. The objective is to create a pool of trusted consultants able to respond to specific invitations or receive direct awards, thereby streamlining SFU’s project delivery process while ensuring fair opportunity among the consultants. SFU intends to select at least three proponents to form this prequalified list, which will be valid for one year with the option for extension. The university reserves full discretion to modify or cancel the prequalification process or adjust the list as needed, including requiring re-submissions of qualifications during the contract period. Interested firms must access the full Invitation to Tender (ITT) package and submit their responses through the MERX platform by February 24, 2026. The university emphasizes adherence to the outlined scope of work and expects selected consultants to support projects involving buildings and infrastructure improvements within SFU’s campuses. The contracting authority for this solicitation is Anthony Sullano, who can be contacted via email for further information.
