Rice Bridge No. 6543 Replacement

This contract involves the replacement of an existing temporary 24.4-meter Bailey bridge with a new, permanent 30-meter single-span bridge. The new structure will feature a waterproof membrane and an asphalt wearing surface to enhance durability and usability. In addition to the bridge construction, the project includes the development of approximately 200 meters of gravel surfaced roadway, paved asphalt aprons, and improved bridge approaches. Necessary roadway signage and landscaping or seeding efforts will also be part of the project scope. Environmental considerations are addressed through the installation of riprap protection and habitat restoration on both banks of the creek and within the creek channel itself. The project also requires the removal of the existing temporary Bailey bridge.
