Full Description

AHU-75 located on the roof of the Rio Tower providing cooling and heating to the Core Lab, this air handler unit is 20 years old and requires an upgrade due to multiple issues in the original design. The unit seals and piping are leaking and the controls require updating. The project scope is the modification of AHU-75, the new design will be provided with new hydronic piping, valves, controls, piping vestibule and outside air intake powered filter. The outside power filter will be provided in order to remove the existing outside air ductwork mounted on the exterior of the building. In addition to the AHU modifications, a steam to hot water heat exchanger will be replaced in place to provide proper flow of hot water to the system.
