Road Paving

The Town of Sterling is soliciting bids from licensed and qualified contractors to perform full pavement renovations on three specific road segments: Snake Meadow Hill Road, Newport Road, and Hell Hollow Road. The project requires complete paving of approximately 4,150 linear feet of Snake Meadow Hill Road with a width of 18 to 20 feet, 5,300 linear feet of Newport Road with a width of 16 to 18 feet, and 1,400 linear feet of Hell Hollow Road with a width of 20 feet. All work must include the application of a tack coat at seams where new pavement meets existing surfaces, followed by the installation of a one and one-half inch compacted asphalt leveling course and overlay on the entire roadway. Proper keying of all ends to the existing surface is mandatory. The contractor is fully responsible for implementing and maintaining traffic control measures throughout the duration of the project. Bids must be submitted by the response deadline of July 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM, with the solicitation posted on July 3, 2026 under solicitation number 37836.
