This is a presolicitation notice for a project located on Prince of Wales Island for a total of approximately 12 miles of road resurfacing on Forest Service land approximately 3 miles south of Naukati, Alaska. Period of performance is anticipated to have a required start date no later than May 1, 2018 with a required completion date of September 30, 2018. The work consists of surfacing 4.7 miles of the 2058 Road as a base item and 7.38 miles of the 2054 Road as an option item. This project includes loading, hauling, placing and compacting 6" finished, compacted lifts of aggregate according to plans and specifications. Work also includes mobilization, road surface prepping, traffic control and safety signage. Crushed aggregate stockpiles are available in the project area. Magnitude of Construction (FAR 36.204): Base - between $100,000 and $250,000 Base + Option - between $250,000 and $500,000 The Government is currently onducting market research to determine the specific small business set aside for this requirement.
