Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement Notice: This is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete culvert replacement near Weyakwin, Saskatchewan. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period and will have an early completion date. The work is expected to take place as early as August 2026, with a specified completion date as early as October 31, 2026. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work. Description of the Procurement: SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF ONE 2 400 mm DIAMETER POLYMER LAMINATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE CULVERT by open excavation of the roadway on Highway No. 2 approximately 4.3 km southwest of its intersection with Highway No. 165; for a TOTAL LENGTH OF 32.0 m. The following quantities are initial design estimates and are subject to change in the issued tender documents. Estimated Quantities: Proposed Culvert: 1 – 2 400 mm x 32 m Polymer Laminated Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) Culvert 125 mm x 25 mm corrugations 2.8 mm wall thickness 8 m, 16 m, and 8 m segment lengths Culvert End Stiffener – 1 Granular Base Course – 210 t Sub-Base Course – 425 t Asphalt Concrete – 95 t Riprap Type 2 – 190 m3 Granular Backfill – 1 500 t Earthwork– Combined volume of approximately 2 100 m3 Deposit with each Tender - 5% of total bid Deputy Minister of Highways Bidders may request a debriefing session from Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement by emailing [email protected] within 30 days after the award notification date. The intention of the debriefing is to aid the Bidder by identifying areas of improvement that may be applied to subsequent procurement opportunities.
