This project will be funded with 2026 LMIG and SPLOST funds. Construction includes Turn Lane Installations at 4 separate locations as outlined in different plan sets, Asphalt Patching, Shoulder Widening and Resurfacing on Rock Springs Road (0.99 mi), Chappell Mill Road (3.23mi) and High Falls Road (2.62 mi) within Lamar County. The work will include construction of turn lanes at Rock Springs Road at Chappell Mill Road (Site #1), Rock Springs Church (Site #2), Rock Springs Church Road at High Falls (Site # 3), Chappell Mill Road at Rock Springs Church entrance (Site # 4), with 335 tons of asphalt patching, 2,217 tons of 19mm asphalt shoulder paving, 3,750 tons of OGI, and 5,954 tons of 9.5mm resurfacing (Rock Springs, Chappell Mill and High Falls Roads) and striping. All work shall conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, Current Edition; GDOT's Supplemental Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, Current Edition; and all applicable GDOT Standards and Details; and other contract requirements, specifications and general conditions.
