AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st SCMS Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of a rotor and compressor assembly identified by part number 2214M14G01 and NSN 2840-01-527-6505PR, used on the F110 platform. This effort is not a solicitation and no contract will be awarded based on responses; no funds are available for this market research phase. The goal is to evaluate potential vendors, including small businesses, disadvantaged businesses, and other certified categories, to determine if a competitive acquisition or small business set-aside is feasible, potentially broken down by airframe. Respondents must be capable of end-to-end manufacturing including component sourcing, inspection, testing, packaging, shipping, and managing supply chain risks such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead procurement. Nonrecurring engineering costs to qualify as an approved source may also be the vendor’s responsibility. The requirement falls under Federal Stock Class 2840 and NAICS code 336412, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. Responses are to be submitted through the “Add Me to Interested Vendors” button on the SAM.gov portal and must be received by July 24, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. Central Standard Time. The contracting activity is managed by the Air Force Sustainment Center under the Air Force Materiel Command, with official correspondence directed to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil. The place of performance is Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and the government reserves the right to use the collected information to shape the optimal future acquisition strategy for this critical spare part.
