AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for the new manufacture of a turbine rotor assembly identified by NSN 2840-01-676-0196PR and part number 2214M18G04, intended for use on the F110 engine platform. This effort, issued under Notice ID FD20302700071 and classified under NAICS code 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, is strictly a Sources Sought synopsis and not a solicitation. No contract award is anticipated from this action, and no funds are available for this market research phase. The government seeks information from all types of businesses including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) concerns, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone firms, and women-owned small businesses to evaluate potential competition and determine if a small business set-aside is viable. Responses must be submitted through the designated vendor interest button before the deadline, and all submissions will inform future acquisition planning. Potential suppliers must demonstrate the capability to independently manufacture the component from raw materials or purchased parts, including all associated processes such as inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Responsibility may also extend to supply chain management, logistics forecasting, handling diminishing manufacturing sources, managing long-lead materials, and addressing material shortages. Nonrecurring engineering costs to qualify as an approved source may be required. The government may elect to break the requirement down by airframe configuration. All interactions and responses must be directed to the 421st SCMS via the provided workflow email, and any requests for an actual solicitation will not be acknowledged. The place of performance is Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and all dates and times are referenced in Central Standard Time.
