Full Description

This requirement is for a follow-on Firm-Fixed Price (Hardware) / Cost Plus-Fixed Fee (Services) contract to the current Contract W58RGZ-07-C-0209. ACC-Redstone proposes to acquire hardware and services (procurement of up to a quantity of 220 each ROVER systems and Engineering Technical Services (ETS) in support of the ROVER systems) from L-3 Communications Corporation. The ROVER system is a ruggedized, point-to-point, line of sight, National Security Agency (NSA)-approved Type1 encryption-capable, multiband datalink modem used in military imagery/telemetry collection. It includes a multiband datalink modem, antennas, and associated cables. The ETS provides an avenue to perform development and integration/testing of modifications to software, architecture, hardware, test equipment technologies, and provides an avenue for compliance with Unmanned Aircraft System interoperability profiles. Additionally, the ETS will be utilized to modify the ROVER system for Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum reallocation, necessitated as a result of a Department of Defense (DoD) sell-off of 25MHz of the spectrum and compression of the remaining portion of the band. The U.S. Government does not own the techncical data necessary for competition.
