Canoe Procurement Group of Canada is soliciting proposals for the national supply of Electrical, Utility, and Line Maintenance Supplies through a competitive process designed to serve its broad network of members, including municipal governments, Indigenous self-governing bodies, school boards, health and social service entities, federal and provincial agencies, crown corporations, and other publicly funded organizations across Canada. As a long-standing public procurement authority incorporated in 1923 and governed by elected officials, Canoe acts on behalf of partner associations such as the Rural Municipalities of Alberta, CivicInfo BC, the Association of Manitoba Municipalities, and others, facilitating a unified contracting solution to achieve cost efficiency and standardized procurement across the MASH sector and public entities nationwide. Proposals must be submitted exclusively through the Canoe Procurement Portal by the deadline of May 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time, and any late submissions will be disqualified. The resulting contract, if awarded, will have a base term of four years with the potential for a one-year extension, and negotiations may be conducted with selected vendors to finalize terms. The solicitation, identified as AB-2026-03347 under the NAICS code 423610, is being managed by the Rural Municipalities of Alberta as the lead agency, though the contract will apply nationally to all Canoe members and their affiliated organizations. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Connor Schweder, Contracting Authority, reachable via proposals@canoeprocurement.ca, and all relevant documentation is available free of charge on the Canoe Procurement Portal. While the tender is listed under the Government of Canada in some public registries, the actual procurement authority and contracting entity remains Canoe on behalf of its provincial, territorial, and municipal partners. This initiative supports the collective purchasing power of over a hundred public sector entities, ensuring transparent, compliant, and scalable access to essential maintenance and utility supplies.
