The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to issue a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to Eaton Aeroquip Inc. (CAGE 00624) and/or its authorized distributors. The anticipated FFP contract is to procure approximately six (6) Rynglok Fitting Tool Sets (Part Number (P/N) RTSK8-02-001; National Stock Number (NSN) 5180-01-368-8873) in support of the V-22 and F/A-18 Programs.This contracting action is being pursued on a sole-source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204 (a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Eaton is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Rynglok Tool Set, and the owner of all technical data pertaining to the Rynglok Tool Set. Eaton and their authorized distributors are the only sources with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to provide the required item. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement on a limited competition basis with Eaton Aeroquip Inc. and/or its authorized distributors. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Responsible, interested parties, however, may identify their interest by submitting a capabilities statement.
