The United States Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center - Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (ERDC-CRREL) in Hanover, New Hampshire, is seeking to extend its current contract for grounds maintenance services from May 1, 2015, through August 31, 2015. The existing contract, which provides grounds maintenance, expires on April 30, 2015, and this extension will ensure the continued upkeep of a safe and well-maintained environment during the interim period. The extension is planned to be awarded on a sole source basis to the incumbent contractor, Bergeron's Lawn Service & Landscaping, under the NAICS code 561730 with a size standard of $7.5 million, following the guidelines set forth in FAR 13.106(b)(1). The eventual follow-on contract is still in the acquisition planning phase. While this Notice of Intent is not a solicitation for competitive bids, interested parties who believe they have the capability to perform the work are invited to submit capability statements by April 27, 2015, at noon Central Time. However, submission of a capability statement does not guarantee a change in the Government’s acquisition approach, which retains the sole discretion to proceed without competition. All responses will be reviewed solely to assist in determining whether a competitive procurement is warranted. Responses must be submitted via email as telephone inquiries will not be accepted. This action represents a temporary measure to maintain grounds maintenance services, ensuring continuity until the new contract is finalized.
