The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, has organized an Industry Day scheduled for April 3 and 4, 2018, at the York Campus Auditorium in Tennessee. This event is designed to facilitate early communication between the VA and potential vendors capable of providing comprehensive waste removal and recycling services for the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System facilities. These services include handling municipal solid waste and recycling a variety of materials such as cardboard, metal, plastic, wood, yard waste, food waste, solid fill, and construction debris typical of healthcare and office environments. Additionally, the Industry Day targets vendors who can manage the complete removal, transport, and disposal of regulated medical waste specific to the VA healthcare system's needs. The Industry Day serves solely as an informational and planning event and does not represent a formal solicitation like a Request for Proposal or Quotes. Participation costs are the responsibility of attendees, and the VA retains the right to alter or cancel the event as necessary. Interested parties are encouraged to review the attached Performance Work Statements for detailed requirements and to contact Tara R. Hammrich at NCO 9 for further information.
