The Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking industry input through a Request for Information (RFI) to assist in the development of requirements for Industrial Laundry and Fire Extinguisher services across multiple CBP locations. This effort aims to incorporate commercial best practices and leverage vendor expertise to shape the acquisition strategy. Respondents are asked to provide detailed company information, including experience, capacity, and service capabilities, as well as information on replacement policies for damaged or worn items, delivery methods, and any relevant certifications such as ISO. The RFI specifically requests insight into vendors' experience in handling similar contracts, environmental or regulatory concerns, and the potential for secure web-based ordering systems and acceptance of government purchase cards. This RFI is strictly for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee any contract award. The government emphasizes that responses will remain confidential and used solely for internal contract planning. Vendors should submit comprehensive responses addressing a series of specific questions covering their operational and logistical capabilities, policies for garment and equipment handling, and their understanding of local regulatory environments. Responses are limited to 20 pages, must be submitted electronically by a specified deadline, and are directed to designated points of contact within CBP. This approach ensures early industry partnership in shaping the program while maintaining a competitive procurement environment for any future contract award.
