The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Edward P. Boland VA Medical Center in Leeds, Massachusetts intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract for prepaid 4G service, support, and cloud access for the Rapid Disinfector Mobile Disinfection System. This action is being conducted under sole-source authority due to the unique nature of the services and equipment specified, and the government has determined that only one responsible source can satisfy its requirements. The contract period of performance is from October 14, 2022, through October 13, 2023, with four one-year options available at the government’s discretion. Services include comprehensive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, part replacements, and remote wireless access for system software updates and troubleshooting, all performed by manufacturer-certified personnel. The contract also covers periodic product training both on-site and via webcast, routine software updates, online data access and reporting, and sensor recalibration for the equipment’s four UVC sensors as necessary. Non-covered charges such as damage to cords or plugs will be billed separately. Remote wireless access is critical to avoid additional service visits and charges, requiring facility IT cooperation. A list of parts with pricing is included for items such as UVC lamps, sensors, remote controllers, keys, and power components. Interested parties may express interest only if they can provide clear evidence that competition would benefit the government, with all inquiries directed to the identified contracting specialist via email before the closing deadline of September 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM EST.
